- Tommy Canavan, who joins as Legal Counsel to Aurelius’ investee company Office Depot Europe but will also provide support to Aurelius’ deal team in London, strengthening their access to the Irish markets and deal capabilities in the region. Tommy joins the Group from A&L Goodbody where he held the position of Senior Associate in Corporate Transactions and Advisory Group. Prior to this Tommy was an Associate in Banking and Financial Services at leading Irish law firm Matheson. Tommy studied an LLB in Law & European Studies at the University of Limerick, graduating with a first-class degree in 2007.
Tristan Nagler, Managing Director of Aurelius in the UK, commented on the appointments, stating: “We are delighted to be announcing these new hires to the team, following another successful year for Aurelius. Together Jonathan and Tommy also bring a wealth of high-quality legal experience to the team, with Tommy’s appointment reflecting Aurelius’ dedication to giving our portfolio companies the support they deserve. We warmly welcome all of them to the team.”
